this is the fourth check this dum dum has sent to me.

the first was intercepted by UPS, the second was delivered (thanks Shebopee), the third was again intercepted by UPS and the 4th was allegedly delivered by Fedex and is waiting in a drop box.

That's a pretty far-fetched story...

Who would actually entrust almost $5,000 to someone who wasn't their close friend, relative, or even someone they knew?

Why would the FBI even be investigating?.... Rolling Eyes

To be fair, AFAIK in the US any fraud involving the postal service is considered a Federal crime... which means this Lad is displaying a lot of chutzpah!

Does that FBi investigator have a scan of his FBI ID that he can send you?

It's probably not part of his starter kit, so expect some pushback if you make that request.

Tell Mr. FBI agent that he's got it all wrong. It was a gift, to you, from your friend. Now your friend is mad because you stole his wife and he's using the FBI to settle the score. Tell him that the original lad is a compulsive liar.

I'm sure that might get you a nice stream of abuse and curses. Laughing

To maintain the hilarity it is a good tactic to tell him you decided to go to the FBI and admit to them what you've done.

Then you tell him that they have frozen your accounts and let you out on bail and have your house staked out.

Tell him you require a Letter of Leniency (known as a LoL) from him or your life is ruined - your wife will leave you and your kids taken into care. Beg and grovel for his help - a Lad loves that.

When he asks for money - tell him you need another cheque to get the money to pay him.

Rinse and repeat.

I haven't contacted him for 2 days (waiting to see if it was actually delivered to the drop box). he is getting desperate for his money.

I'll email him telling him the reason i haven't emailed is because the FBI has been questioning me for the past 2 days and use your frozen account idea... Very Happy
