Hi to you all, thank you for reading this thread.
I know that I've been years away from here, bute my job take's all the time i have.
Now to our Problem:
I'm working at the IT Department for a shipping Society.
Last week one of our Vessel has been kidnapped.
(Just look beluga prirates to see it's true).
The crew, 13 Persons, are in the hands of this bullshit people.

Please, I need some help.
The gangsters are using the Cellphone of the Captain. This Phone is not anymore on the Ship, but nobody is able to locate it. In Germany we only have services that require to register the Cellphone by SMS, but we don't have access to it, because the Gangsters have.

Next step:
Maybe we have to pay very much money to get the crew back.
What service or contacts can we use to see where the money will be moved to?

The only thing we have is the communication pc, installed by our self.
So we know the location of this ship, but that's all. The Gangsters allready started to warn us and said that they will kill people if we won't pay very fast.

Maybe somebody can understand this sintences and maybe can offer some help.
The German law is just to slow, to, I don't know, we have to go forward.

Not sure if I´m understanding you correctly in the first place -

you are asking for RL legal or crime fighting assistance in such a matter of international crime on an internet forum?

Specifically, how to find out where internationally transferred money has been deducted from (bank etc.)?

Sorry if I am sounding distrustful or hesitant, this is not at all my intention but I´ve been thinking what to write at all to your situation, and it is indeed a very unusual place to ask on a scambaiting forum for advice regarding international piracy and ransom matters.

What is your exact question? If there are ways to find out where transferred money ("ransom") has been received?

You know that with WU or MG, the answer is no, AFAIK.

With cash money to be handed over by middlemen, it might all very much more be a question to ask your local police department whom to turn to to watch the ongoings, or even the embassy of the nationality of the shipmen involved.

okay the answer is deal with LEO.

But the prior answer was claim insurance. Serious question, would ships traveling in that part of the world have insurance for kidnapping/piracy. I mean over and above to cover the cargo and value of the ship, for some kind of company to help secure the release of the human crew?

^I think most contracts will specificaly state in the fine print that piracy/terrorism is excluded from coverage. Not sure about this, but think I may have run across that before.

Yes LEO must be the way to go. However, there are also some private companies out there specialized in cargoship escort for pirate ridden waters. They could have some resources to bring to bear & expertise, on a for hire basis WORKING WITH LEO that could assist in negotiations, etc..
(just a thought, this is not meant to be advise & should not be treated as such)

The problem here for us is that it isn't an internet crime, so we don't have a way to contact anyone involved or do anything.

Having said that, with the human lives at stake, it would be a foolish baiter who got involved in stirring things up, and it is doubtless the case that LEO or even more sophisticated organisations will get involved, who would not look kindly on outsiders interfering.

I regret that, in my opinion, this situation isn't within our sphere of activity and is something only LEO can handle. It is a desperate situation but a reaction in panic could have severe consequences.

That is what I was thinking of, but along the lines of insuring for it. I.E. I will pay $x premium and if the ship is taken by pirates the insurance company hires these people to do their thing ALONG WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT. So that the shipping company is not on the hook for what I would assume is a huge bill from these people.

And as for ^^ yes the A-Team would be good Wink

Also MacGuyver would be nice too.

Sorry folks, I never mind to "fight" or scambait.
And I just can't understand who will give it a go.
And I even won't discuss about insurance, A-Teams or something else.
Last but not least I even don't know about LEO.

Years ago I've been a bank killer on this site. We've been fighting against Scammer, not against the Mafia.

I'm seeking for contacts that just can control the way the money goes.
A few month ago the German state has been involved to control the cash flow of kidnapping. Yeah freaks, they've got it, to just loose the control.
Money away, hijacker away, very fine.

All I was looking for: The "old fighters", that have the contacts, the sites to control location of sattelite phone, aso.

Just forget it.

Why do you expect anybody here having this kind of "contacts"? I for myself have never heard about that. Besides, is that even legal for mere private persons, without any legal orders?

"LEO" is informal for police and police officers. What do they say, what do the embassies say? They alone ought to have the contacts IMHO, or know or hire people who do.

The country of origin, or the country in which the ship is registered, ought to be furiously working to get this resolved. It would seem to me that if an American merchant ship were hijacked, the American State Department, with all the power at its disposal, would raise holy hell.

@Theman - yes I understand what you were saying now; we were thinking along the same lines.
The insurance company may be a resource in attaining a fast(er) response from Gov't agencies & any "outside" help.

in either case, you would not go to a forum (let alone one that specializes in scam baiting- not coastal piracy) for help.

^^You might if you were once a regular contributor here and you knew this site tends to have members with good contacts in various fields. I agree that what the OP is hoping for is a long shot, and seeking help here is not the most expedient course of action, but if my colleagues were in a similar situation, I might start a thread here too.

At a minimum, I think ghost2 deserves the benefit of doubt, and respectful replies.

That said, I know of no way that my friends and I can help. We are baiters not professional crime fighters.

Sure! if information turns up it can be passed onto the appropriate authorities, but anyone deliberately stirring this up by playing "private detective" is likely to cause damage rather than assist in the release of the hostages. This is real life with victims who may well be killed if anything goes wrong.

My very strong advice is to leave well alone and let the authorities do their job without any interference from well-meaning amateurs.

I would also ask a moderator to lock this thread as enough has been said on the matter.
