Lad says it's UK people who are scammers!

I ASEM'd my lad just as reassurance he is really a scammer, cause he's just been way too easy. Okay, so I had a pang of guilt for a second but I'm over it now! What he said in chat later was what sealed the deal....

Here's the ASEM I sent him from another account:

I was told to contact you about sending the fees for the lottery I won. I need to send US $800.00. All I need is information on where I have to send it. I want this lottery money bad! Warm regards,
Mrs L. H3iney

His response (surprise, why did I doubt it for one minute?):

PAYMENT OPTION:
You are to send the money with this information.
Name of Reciever : xxxxxxx
Address : xxxxx, BRIGHTON,Sussex,BN17DX,United Kingdom.
After sending the initial deposit you are to send to this office the payment details as they appear on the western union payment slip via email for confirmation:
1. Senders Name and Address
2. Amount sent
3. Recievers Name
4. Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN)
5. Secret/Security Question if any
Awaiting your payment soonest.
Lottery House.

Not two hours later he finds me on gmail chat. The conversation got around to email addresses. I was asking him why he had all these email addresses. Here's what he has to say about it:

that is why i opened another one
me: oh i was going to ask why you wanted to see scam mails lol. i just delete them

me: i wonder how many i delete a week. must be a hundred!
felixxxx: i have not got any on the my addree felixxxx@live
felixxxx: you know they are from UK?
UK LOTTERY
me: the mails are coming from uk?
i do get a bunch saying i won the british lottery
felixxxxx: why did this UK people do all this things ?
me: i don't know. there must be a lot of bad people there (you all know I don't mean that!! Wink

)
felixxxx: just now i got some swiss online lottery
i think so

So you heard it here, it's the UK people who are sending all those scam mails. Laughing

I knew it! Finally, my suspicions have been confirmed. See, we're just hooked into blaming Nigeria (and Ghana, and Russia, and Cote D'Ivoire, and Netherlands, and USA, etc etc etc) for all these scams, and here they are originating from the UK.

It makes perfect sense when you think about it: There they are, all driving on the wrong side and being civilized, meanwhile they're trying to take over the world again only this time they're blaming everyone else for it. They almost had us fooled too. Not only are the English inherently terrifying (the Galactic Empire is proof of this), it looks like they're hell bent on world domination and now it's been proven. There's like, tea and Ozzy Osbourne. After that those people have been nothing but a pain! Very Happy

That would explain why a few lads email addresses end with yahoo.co.uk

^^ Yep. Go over to nairaland and you will see many Nigerians stating that the UK is the international scam HQ. Because it says .co.uk or because it says that it's the UK National Lottery it means that the scammer is in the UK.

It's part of the reason why Nigerians (or certainly those on nairaland) seem so tolerant of 419. They see that the "UK" is a world leader in scamming and that their Nigerian lads are only doing what we do - what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

I've seen it explained time and time again that a UK address means nothing but the very next post will be about those scamming "white men" and how the UK authorities let them get away with it. Confused

I was pretty sure it was the Irish, not the English. After all, for years they have been promising a "pot of gold" at the end of the rainbow.

oh oh oh, I am so going to start sending lads back emails telling them they have won the Nigerian National Lottery in the amount of 1 billion Naira.

I wonder what kind of replies I would get, if any...heh

Don't worry about those pangs of guilt, we all get them from time to time.
