My first scam - ongoing... maybe.

After I received my very first scam email in my inbox the other day, I decided to take action. I had been hoping to avoid the scum, but they'd got my address at last. I decided to scambait this guy, and have a little fun with it along the way.

First email:

AUDIT/REMITTANCE DEPARTMENT OF
AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT BANK (ADB)

SIR/MADAM,

I KNOW THAT THIS EMAIL WILL BE A BIG SURPRISE TO YOU, BUT I WANT YOU TO CALM DOWN AND READ VERY CAREFULLY.
I HAVE A BUSINESS WHICH WILL BE BENEFICIAL TO BOTH OF US. THE AMOUNT OF MONEY INVOLVED IS ($ 5,700:000:00 FIVE MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED THOUSAND US DOLLARS) WHICH I WANT TO TRANSFER OUT OF THE COUNTRY TO YOUR BANK ACCOUNT, ALL TO MY FINANCIAL BENEFIT AND YOURS TOO. AND ALSO TO TAKE MY WIFE ABROAD FOR TREATMENT OF LIVER DAMAGE.
THIS MONEY IS OWNED BY A MAN CALLED JIN SUN, A BUSINESS COMMERCIALIST IN WEST-AFRICAN REGIONS. HE HAS BEEN DEAD SINCE SIX YEARS AGO AND SINCE THEN, NO CLAIM HAS BEEN PLACED ON HIS BANK ACCOUNT BALANCE.
I WANT TO TRANSFER THIS MONEY OUT OF THE COUNTRY BUT SUCH FUND CANNOT BE TRANSFERRED WITHOUT A NEXT OF KIN ATTACHED TO THE FUND.
THE FUND COULD BE TRANSFERRED IN THESE WAY; YOU SHALL PRESENTYOURSELF AS A BUSINESS ASSOCIATE TO THE DECEASED PERSON[JIN SUN] AS DETAILS SHALL BE THAT YOU ARE THE CARE-TAKER BUSINESS ASSOCIATE TO MR. JIN SUN AND HIS PROPERTIES.
I SHALL MAKE AVAILABLE TO YOU MATERIALS AND INFORMATION WITH WHICH A SUCCESSFUL CLAIM SHALL BE PLACED ON THE FUND. I SHALL ALSO BE YOUR GUIDIANCE AND INSTRUCTOR THROUGHOUT THE DURATION OF THIS TRANSACTION SO AS TO ENSURE A SWIFT AND SURE TRANSFER OF THE FUND TO YOUR BANK ACCOUNT.

Dear Jeff,
I was extremely pleased to receive your email. After calming sown a bit, I realized that this transaction may not be a simple as you claim it will be. Some say I am old fashioned, yet with banks in the state they are nowadays, I believe I have been proven correct. You see, I don't have a bank account, rather, I stash large amounts of cash and in treasure chests in the ground. As such, I could only receive such a transaction if it was in the form of cash in a bag, Furthermore, the cash must be in a large, burlap bag. This is ESPECIALLY important! Therefore, to prove to me that you are indeed genuine, I will require me to send me a photo of a burlap bag, possibly several. I look forward to doing business with you,

Thanks for your reply, actually i have nothing to do with your account but the bank, you just fill this application below .....
As i told you before, i will not like to engage in any business that will tarnish my reputable image which i have built for years, if any problem arise in this transaction before it effect you it will effect me first because i am the one that gave you the information, so be rest assured that this transaction is risky free ok.

I will be working round the clock to ensure that the fund is approved and transferred into your account in less than 10 bank working days. There will never be any risky or trouble from any angle, i assure you that.

Lastly; i have arranged a text of application that you are to fill with your correct bank account details and send it to me first for my perusal before finally sending it to my bank's email Id or fax,
respectively.

Here I attached an .htm file. It contained a blank copy of his "form" and a script that records IP addresses. He hasn't opened it yet, but when he does I'll have his IP. I will then play along and try to keep it going by feigning ignorance. Of course, he may have realized me as a baiter and given up. I'll keep posting.[/img][/i][/b]
