You can't win an argument with an idiot so I would never waste my time with them, but I wonder how they explain away that every other visible object in the universe is a sphere. I guess earth is the exception? Morons. It's scary to think that these folks can vote too.

Wonderful. Now the whack jobs that sit on the Kansas Board of Education will probably want to include "Flat Earth Teachings" in the school curriculum.

I never did trust NASA. Those bastages have been hiding the fact that the earth is flat from us for ages because .....well...... I don't know how to finish that sentence.

I like the Turtle Theory, I think Mr_Happy posted a somewhat limited visual representation earlier in the thread. Turtle Theory contains logic that cannot be refuted.

That Large Hardon Collider thingy came up in discussion in the pub the other week.

Apparently there is a risk, albeit remote, that a black hole could be formed when they switch it on, that will then consume us all.

We considered having a party when they switch it on, where all the food and drink are bought on credit. That way if we do all die, we won't have to pay for the party ever, if we don't all die, then it was worth celebrating with a party, because the planet dodged a bullet.

Clearly these boffins are misguided, and should instead be looking for proof that the Earth is flat.

I went on a cruise last summer with a very beautiful woman.In between the you know what bits we never felt like we we were in danger of coming anywhere near the edge. Pictures can be photchopped. Anyway, if you use higher quality equipment, you will see that there is no visible curve. (I think that's actually true, you can't make out the curve from the ground or even from a regular plane.)

I was reading their site and Australia does exist on the map. It it is only in the other theories forum that someone said they didn't believe in it.

@Tommo, there is no edge, there is an ice wall that surrounds the earth.

Also the earth and all the heavenly bodies are traveling upwards with an acceleration of 9.2m/s (i think) which gives the illusion of gravity.
