2 questions from a newbie

Hey all I just found this site, and am wanting to try scambaiting out, however I have 2 quick questions. first off, is it legal? otherwise is the FBI gonna show up at my door and arrest me for it? Secondly, about the membership-it didnt make me pay anything for membership but is it a honor system? or is there regular users which you dont have to pay and a premium user which you pay for and gives you added options? Cuz while I want to be apart of this community, I don't have any mopney to spare right now (its a little tight) but I dont want to use a service that I have to pay for either, that don't seem right to me. so If I have to pay I will stay off until I can come up with a donation. anyway, I would appreciate any help and/or answers to my questions anyone can give me, thankyou!

And yes, donating to the site gets you a premium membership, which like Ima Baeder said, has it's perks.

You may not have known this, but you actually asked 3 questions! Well maybe it's just that there are 2 answers to the first question. Oh hell now I'm all confused! Let me gather my thoughts here... OK.

Yes baiting is legal (within reason), but that won't stop the FIB from contacting you! If past e-mails are to be believed (wink wink), the FIB's executive director is known to monitor all e-mails to and from absolutely everywhere. Regardless of what country you or your lad are in, old Bobby Moolers himself will assure you that he has personally investigated everything and you should make with that WU transfer and fast. In fact, not paying your mugu may even result in charges being laid. They don't take kindly to lollygaggers over at the FIB, you know.

What was that other question... oh yes, payment. Here's what to do: Just go to the Western Union Money Transfer to send the fees to my assistant do it fast ok then tell me the MCTN with a copy of your passport...

Sorry. Couldn't resist. But seriously folks, if the cash is strapped (been there, still there) you still have options. You could hang around and just wait until you've got some cash (that's what I did), or you could start whacking phone lads and get a premium membership that way.

I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that you're under no obligation here other than those explained in the rules. As for some others, I think someone who has a relationship with gilette was so far in the backwoods drinking and beating a drum, didn't even know it was being handed out Very Happy

Your comment is a little bit confusing to me.

Why?

Because many sites charge for access so that they can pay the bills to run the site and continue to provide it for members to enjoy.

Running a forum isn't cheap, and many forums rely on access charges or donations to help with operational costs.

What is not right to you about that? If your ISP charges you Internet service, is that not right to you either?

As others have said, basic membership is free. Premium membership is not required to use this site, but if you want the perks, you'll need to donate. At $25 per year, that is $409.35 cheaper than buying a cup of coffee every day for that same year.

Cowboy, the premium perks don't directly affect how you interact with Eater, save that you get the gold name so people know you've donated. The details are here. Whilst we appreciate the contributions made to the costs of running the site, it really is not necessary to donate to enjoy the site, and we have lots of very valued members here who don't. If you particularly want to be gold, there is usually a competition running somewhere here in which you can win a premium membership; Rorschach has one going at the moment, which is here.

I am currently on the run from the FBI, Scotland Yard, Interpol , various juju priests, quite a few crazed scammers and God Shocked

apparently - but, as I am on a Mission from God, that takes precedence.

A lot of scammers only have a slight grip on reality - so I trump them there as I have no grip at all, and my world of make believe is kinda scarey. Very Happy

Having a warped and off centre sense of humour is helpful but not obligatory. Some baiters just take a Lad for 'walkies' and forget to mention that the trip will last for hundreds of miles. Very Happy

not only is it legal, it's encouraged, your the front line of defence for the innocent, as for the donations. its a thank you to the site for every little tool you could ever need in this war.
you dont have to donate, but you do get extra perks and depending on what kind of baiting you end up doing, that can be a BIG help.
Plus having your name in Gold sets you apart from the riff raff Laughing

I dont have the time to hardcore bait like many here,I bait only a couple at a time just straight baits, so things like dropboxes have been something I haven't needed.

yeah so far its fun. I signed up for a mentor and so far havent gotten one, but I was in the process of baiting one of these jokers before I signed on, ive already in like email 4 from him and hes already getting mad at me (i dont know if its a good or a bad thing yet) because I havent sent him any of my bank information and I cant call him cuz Im on the FBIs watch list cuz of some "business" I did with a middle eastern man with terrorist connections awhile back. he was quite worried about that until i assured him they only monitor my international phone conversations. anyway, Im using a gmail account (I assume thats safe) and accessing it through about 2 proxy servers, and my name is "Ivan G. Otcha" so well see how it turns out. I hope I get a mentor soon cuz right now im just flying blind, about to send him some phone bank number and address from a made up town somewhere in ny. anyway, yeah ill be around for awhile.
