We are experiencing some serious load problems with the server at the moment.

At this moment in time I am not 100% sure what the issue is.

I have done some preventative maintenance but will continue to dig around as the day progresses. If the problem persists we may have to switch to a backup server while I get this server sorted out.

Vlads who weren't happy about have a dent put into their business if I remember correctly because they had a lot of websites shut down.

Yes, there are still problems as of 6pm Eastern Time.

It took almost 10 minutes to access the site just now.

I wish there was something I can do to "prevent" a DDos attack. Unfortunately there is only mitigation techniques that we can employ! - On that front we have quite a few installed both home made and commercial

I was unable to access the forum for almost an hour. This was around 6:00 pm EST.

They have done this several times and yet we still go on creating hell for them. You would think they would get it sooner or later that we won't go away. Rolling Eyes

FWIW Rover, I have been in and out of the Fora all day and not seen any problems.
