I was considering buying this, however it does seem cheap for a modded PS2 and there are no other modded consoles on Ebay...
Can an experienced Ebayer or otherwise look at this and make sure I'm garunteed to be refunded if something fouls up midway, if there's some fine print I'm missing somewhere, etc? Thanks |

Well, (s)he does indicate that "the rarity in this auction also jumps the auction up a little bit, so please be aware this auction should go high." 50 bones is the opening bid, and although there's no reserve, the seller seems to be pretty confident that it'll go high.
I can't see anything in there so far that "screams" scam.
I'd personally email the seller with questions, it indicates right on the listing that you can do that. |

Yeah, it's going up already. A US seller with 100+ sales... you'd be pretty safe there. With ebay, just have a look at the feedback, it's always a good indicator. When I buy the odd electrical or highish value item, I tend to make sure that the seller has a fairly long history with plenty of sales and positive feedback. |

I use ebay negs, it's a Firefox addon that only shows the neutral and negative as well as the percentage of positive.
It doesn't work with FF 3.0 so you have to use this website to search their username: http://www.toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs
As for that sale; It seems fine, if you bid and win make sure you thoroughly check it with lots of real and "back up" games within that first 7 days. |
