A scammer is using the email address of a real life work colleague and is asking for money to be sent to him urgently as he has lost his wallet in the US. How do I read the email headers to get an idea of where he is really posting from? It's too good an opportunity to miss.

So he has your colleagues email account (or is spoofing their address) and therefore has your real email address and details and you want to go mess with him.

I'd suggest reading this

Get your friend to email his contacts list telling them it's a scam-also if he still has the box get him to go in there and change his password.

You just post the whole header in and it gives you the location. Smile

Forget about messing with him because he has a load of personally identifiable information about you and your friends.

Get the message out to anyone he might have mailed and prevent them getting fleeced.
