I was a scambaiter about 2 years ago... started the "Hot Avatar Club" and other general mischief while helping Shiver write news articles about the tragic shooting death of his man in Scotland and leading a couple of mugus down some incredibly useless paths.

So - have I missed anything? Smile

Thanks, all. What happened to Shiver? Has he retired? Directed his energy to other pursuits?

I'm going to have to re-orient myself some with the art of scambaiting. I'm hoping you all have changed with the times, refined it into an art form? My once razor like skills are a bit blunted.... and time is always a factor. Never enough of it anymore.

I dunno... it was never far from my mind, and I enjoyed it thoroughly when I was doing it. But life has a way of forcing you to shift your priorities, no?

I dropped out of law school after all. As I explained to someone else, I realized I liked the thought of being a lawyer more than I actually liked studying to become one. It was fascinating, but time consuming and expensive. As a member of the media, either way I'd be held in the same regard by society at large. So I moved across the U.S. with my girlfriend a few months ago and am hoping to get on with a major media outlet as I toil away at a local affiliate.

I remember that scam very well. Toronto, right? You had some serious cajones to snap pictures of that mugu. Didn't they follow you in their car or give you the stink eye too or something?

Good times indeed.

And thanks for the welcome back everyone! It's good to be back. It remains to be seen if I have the time to bait another mugu or not. Looks like the world of scambaiting/419eater has expanded into other areas over the last couple of years. Time to do my due dilligence and see if there's another speciality to try....

Nah, it was great. Packed up the U-Haul and trucked across the great American southwest into the great American southeast. It rains a lot here, but other than that I love my new state. It's a real "peach" living here. Wink

And no, I don't miss the wildfires at all. All of my friends and family in NorCal are gasping and hacking in the smoke filled air. Heck, I'm not even sure I miss my native California at all, truth be told.

Okay, enough yacking for now. I am at work, after all...
