The oga's dilemma

I just got off the phone after talking to a scammer, and I feel the urge to share this...

All the way through the bait I have berated the scammer for being incompetent, and asked that he be replaced. His response to my abuse was to increase his importance by having an underling call me and then transferring me when I answer the phone. From the background noise, he is clearly an oga with staff.

Today, he rang to confirm that (in his mind) he has settled the arrangements for a UK rendezvous to pick up the money from me. However, I told him that I considered him incompetent to handle the other side of the "deal" - transfer of my fund to my Swiss Bank account. Again, I asked that he be replaced, and said I would not hand over my cash until that happened.

This gives him a dilemma. Either he will have to promote an underling to the rank of barrister and then listen to me giving my frank opinion of the oga's abilities to the aforementioned underling, or he will have to involve another oga which will involve sharing the cash windfall. Or he could choose to stay poor, but I suspect he will not want to follow that course.

Do you think he really has the contacts to have a meeting in the UK?
or that he himself is over here?

Or do you think that previously unforeseen circumstances will necessitate a change in venue?

He's in Ghana. I'm just making him sweat to find a UK contact in a tight timescale. Some scammers can find a UK contact if pressed hard enough, but this guy is genuinely incompetent, and it will be sheer luck if he succeeds.

It will be a shame when you tell your lad that you met with the contact and he took the money. What does he MEAN that the UK lad said he never met you? You have pictures of the location that you met. (I suggest picking a place that you can do that.) Laughing
