I joined the forums last week when I finally received not one but two scam emails... and even though I'd read some epic stories, none compared to this HOLY F!$&KBALLS AWESOME safari!

REALLY amazing stuff, Prof, YW, Jojo, and everyone else involved! I laughed my ass off at "Hello, is this Adamu? This is Reverend Phystme..."

I can already tell I've got a lot to live up to with my baiters...

I have no doubt in my mind that these guys are 100% serious about the TWAT. There is no scamming involved here, from what I can see. These guys are different than Adamu. Adamu still had it in his mind that he was scamming the church. These guys, however, honestly want to be part of the church. That's probably cruel of us. Ooops.

I guess our law-abidding citizens still are in contact with their family and friends back home? so they could get some money send by WU to buy a ride home or get themselfes out of jail if things go really wrong? (which I understand is very likely to happen if you guy's can help it Smile

That would also make them more interesting for the local police, as there's not much fun in arresting people that cannot pay their way out anyway...

As I said, I don't think that this is a role. I truly believe that if this was real, they would be part of the church. I believe that 100%. But, since it's not real, they are going to have to suffer the consequences.

I don't disagree that the money has something to do with it. But I honestly think that these guys see this as a way out. That's what is so mean about this. We are proposing something to them that is a way out of their scamming, which is something they probably don't enjoy.

Ah, an interesting ethical conundrum... It appears the lads are not looking to "scam" the church, as they are perfectly content with the huge payout that they perceive will come with simply posing as deeply religious individuals, is that right?.... I guess the question then becomes: Yeah, but if they were not presented with this opportunity would they still be doing 419s? I think I know the answer, in which case they deserve evrything that's coming.

I know the answer to this. I was chatting with him online one day, as Dover. Well, at this point, I did not know if they were scamming. So, I sent an ASEM from an account that I set up that looks like a lad account, asking for help with my maga. While talking to me about spreading the TWAT, he was writing my lad character back with directions on what to do.

I don't think they are suspect that this whole thing is a farse. Otherwise, the would not ask for a letter of missionary status from us.

The lads are Nigerian, but they were living in Benin. When I first talked to them, they were in Benin. They went to Nigeria to get their passports.

Every once in awhile, I get the feeling that perhaps a lad is truly trying to turn over a new leaf. To ease my conscience, I send him a straight-bait from a different account and sure enough, they're still scamming.
