Has a scammer ever gotten revenge?

Has there ever been a confirmed case of a scammer traveling to another country to seek vengeance against a baiter? If so - please provide details.

(I tried searching for this topic but was unable to find an applicable thread. So if this has already been posted - please don't get mad.)

I am researching for my "419Hell" website and I'd like to know if there ever was a case where an angry scammer has actually gotten off his lazy butt to do any of the terrible things that scammers often threaten to do when they find out they have been baited.

I'm not aware of any baiters that have been victims of an attack by a scammer, mostly because they bait safe and use completely made up characters! Plus, the scammers are lazy and will just move on!

Scammers are dangerous though and they have been known to kill their victims!

Now, "419hell" website????? What's that all about? We have one of those right here!

@suncrafter. Eater lore tells of a couple of lads who showed up at a baiters place of work and asked for him by a baiting name as he'd been using the works fax machine to contact them. I don't know how much of the story is true or what happened but this is a good example of why we bait safe.

A small selection of the death threats I have received are in my siggy line.

My latest death threat states that I will die on 7th July at 7.00 pm but that is a juju spell - and they are probably the most dangerous ones to worry about. Laughing

One scammer early one said he was going to come to Paris to perform a sex act on me. Very Happy

I was playing a female at the time - and I wasn't in Paris. So the newest baiter following the most basic uncomplicated security recommendations can laugh themselves silly over their hissy fits.

You can take risks over meeting Lads or observing them when a meet is arranged, and it is not recommended, but they have been done.

Maybe not against a scammer, but ScamPatroller has several instances of scammers killing their vics, when the vics have travelled to get their trunk boxes etc.

In short, are these guys dangerous?

YES

It may seem like fun from this end, at the other end of the pipeline is someone who has no morals and is willing to kill for the money

*Bait safe* may sound like a well worn slogan, but it is the only thing stopping the scum from finding you

There are numerous threads in this forum about a certain character who must not be named.
It is rumoured that he has tortured and killed both baiters and lads alike.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

I know this doesn't answer your question, but this website (as well as other warning/baiting websites) have been the targets of Disruption of Service attacks. Nasty little buggers that take a tremendous amount of effort from the powers that be to rectify. I forget how long it took after the last DoS attack to get this website up and running, but it wasn't pretty.

One of the reasons why we bait safe and don't share any personal information on this website is because we don't want any scammers to come looking for us. For example, nobody on this website knows that in real life I am a well known male porn star. Oops. I said too much already. Embarassed

Nope.

I'll point out a couple of things:

Lads don't necessarily need to travel to another country/continent.

Lots of folks are assaulted by unknown assailants all of the time.

Well worth being very careful what you let out.

ie; run a good selection of tracking methods against your own emails, trace your own IP address to see how close it gest to your house (mine is 50 miles away in a major city where I am not. tra la la) and delve deep into any documents you send out - JPGs, PDFs and DOC files, to name but a few, carry embedded user data that can blow your cover, like modification or creation notes. So strip these out before you send anything.

That aside, Lads increasingly use Gmail or similar to send their junk so there's less potential to tell where they are. Be careful, think in character and don't tell them a thing about the real you.

I would not host my baiting activities on my own website.

Website ownership can be tracked easier than the free email addresses
that baiters use.

Also you will get many more viewers here.

Just trust the word of those that have been around here long enough to know better. Upsetting he who must not be named is NOT a good idea. There's a very good reason he has the moniker he does, and it's not because he plays a mean guitar.
