Hard to feel sorry for the bloke but in his case he is not in a position to be as well informed as most others (like us).

Having said that has there been cases of Lads going to such extremes?

Try the reports on SP's info site to see cases where scammers have killed their targets.

That report is from August 2007, and iirc was posted at the time, although a reminder is never a bad thing.

People who join here and see the vehment contempt in which some of the established membership hold the lads can be very surprised. But then you read stories in which you can clearly se how the lads treat victims it shouldn't be so surprising. You may not think so, but that Australian was very lucky. Can't remember where I read it, but a victim of some South African lads was tortured to death.
