Well, new to the site. Found it while researching a scam. A few months ago was scammed on Ebay out of $300, paypal only refunded me $200. I've contacted this agency and that, but nothing. Ever since then I've been really peeved about scams and wanting to get back at them.

I am new here!

I was scammed on a dating site. I was on another scam site and they posted the no scambaiting rule. So, I wanted to find out what scambaiting was. So I found this site and I love it! Laughing

So I registered.

However, the other site scared the crap out of me saying that it was dangerous to scambait Confused

. But I see you guys are doing it all the time and seemed to be having fun. I want to join in with the fun and it makes it even better knowing that I am doing something to tie these scum bags up for a while and prevent them for getting another victim. Twisted Evil

I have laughed my self silly at some of the scambaiters techniques Very Happy

Hi Passion, the other site is correct, it can be dangerous baiting scammers, which is why there are all sorts of *MUST READ* stickies attached to all the forums here.

The main thing is *Bait Safe*, which means a fictitious name/address/email account usually gmail or fastmail,

Never give out any form of traceable id, ph numbers/addresses

Read through the forums here, then pick up a lad from the Surplus forum to have a try with.

Hiya

Irishimmigrant is right. It can be dangerous. But if you use false and fictitious personal information then you will be perfectly safe. If you google my location, for example you'll just find out about Dylan Thomas.

Just remember practice and patience. Small steps at first until you get used to dealing with scammers and you get a feel on what you can and can't get away with, also when to hit them for trophy requests and at what time they are ready for a safari.
