I just got this message from another website; the modus operandi seems the same but locations etc are different. I'll take the bait and see what happens and keep y'all in formed how things progress.......

Headers are generally fairly accurate,

perhaps not always as accurate as Wayne is.

Just an FYI, there probably hasn't ever been an orphanage in Tampa, FL but on the chance there was, it would have closed 80 years ago. Orphanages were rare in the US and usually then only in densely populated areas like New York City. They gave way to child protection services and foster care in the 20's.

Yeah, I figured as much. We have the same thing here too.
I definately smell a rat with this one. I've googled the pic and username. Nothing conclusive unless someone else can steer me in the right direction?

After a closer look at the above link, I cant be sure that is a scammer, there certainly are a few resemblances to a lad, but I dont know for sure. I have to advise against baitng this one.

Just to clarify, the first result definately is a lad, the second search result might be a scammer and if it is, possibly the same one

I already found the first one which didnt reveal much other than he/she seems to have joined both websites at around the same time (another giveaway).
The second one I couldnt find what you were referring to mate (?).

from my work, those sites are blocked so I couldn't have a look, scammers, being the creatures of habbit they are, usually begin with mcuh the same script then vary it to suit each of their identities, if you can pick out some unusual spelling and grammer and search on it, you can often find other aliases of the same scammer.

While I cant guarantee the lad in that search is your lad, there is a reasonable chance it is.

I will get a better idea when I can take a look a little later

Actually there was an orphanage in Tampa. I think it's been closed/restructured for at least 20-30 years. I'm trying to remember the name of it.

(Not that the lad would know this, or it really matters......)

I'm sure 'Blondie' has been called to Africa to work with orphans or something...

Ok, back to the original topic. Here is the latest development. My Vlad appears to be a LAD! The plot thickens......
