I just gave my first (very gentle, mind you) slap to a lad. S/he was begging me every email to send the money, send the money, send the money, even though she knew it was contingent on her filling out the forms I was in the midst of preparing. My character finally responded with:

It works! It really works!  Now to get that file working. Anyone know why she would have such trouble opening a regular pdf? |

Because your lad is too lazy to download Acrobat (or perhaps the cafe from where he works won't permit downloads). Or he's just whining to make you give it in an easier format.
Just pretend you don't realize he can't open it and act like all is going well...then slap whenever the moment feels right (again).

Nice!  About the PDF: Could it have something to do with the fact it's a renamed dll or something?  You could just resend it after you made sure it opened just fine. |

Heh, thanks.
Thing is, it's not a renamed .dll file, it actually is a pdf. I think JMRazor has probably got it - no Acrobat at the internet cafe. I guess I can re-send it as a word document but I will specify that it HAS to be filled out by hand and returned - no lazy filling it out in word. |

Ow, I see. I'd resend it anyway. If he keeps complaining have him download Acrobat, and slap him if he doesn't. I guess he can open it perfectly, but printing and scanning it will cost him extra money, and filling it will cost him time. I don't believe there isn't one PC in the internet cafe that can open a pdf file. Slap him a bit harder this time |

Firstly welcome Eater.
You could always get him to print out the blank Word document and make him fill it in by hand that way. |

Most of 'em have problems with pdf, so after they whine a bit about it I send the doc in jpg. Then they are forced to print it and fill it out. However, in my noobness I still haven't had success of them actually filling out a doc yet (still working out that modality LOL). |
