My question is I have now been given a bank account number for a "ROYAL BANK OF SCOUTLAND (where the hell is Scoutland?). Should I just stop now and advise the RBS since I have the account number? Can they act on that to close the account? and by doing this am I potentailly helpping to prevent this crime or do I need to push for more info? |

We have someone who does the account killing for us. Just read that thread and let us know how it comes out. Bank account killing is one of most frustrating things you can do to a scammer.

Before sending bank account info to Alan, do some research and try to make sure that it is a real bank account. If you need help, please PM me and I'll help you research it so you'll know what to do the next time.  |

Well if the account number has the sort-code dib dib dib dob dob dob then it might be real, also find out if it is the premium Queen Scout account rather than the basic Cub version and where the local jambouree or branch is  |
