Thank you for your email, unfortunately we do not have a fax machine here at the nunnery, & I do not know anyone or anywhere where I can get to use one. Also I am unable to use a phone, we are very poor here, we do not have any money to pay for phone calls, it really is a good thing winning all this money, it will really come in very handy, as we have a few holes in our roof (we need to get a new one) & builders are very expensive.
Is there any other way that we can do this, is it not possible to carry on communicating by email?

Regards
Sister Brenda Ann

Not heard anything for nearly a week now, so I sent this short email:

Hello, but I need to know whether everything is OK, as I haven't heard anything from you in regards to my Lottery win.

My God be with you
Sister Brenda

Billy

Lotto baits are notoriously difficult to keep going at first, so dont be disappointed if this one is lost. As soon as you mentioned that you had no money for a new roof, the lad may have decided that no money = no point.

Try your hand at a next of kin scam next time, they tend to last longer and let you build on your baiting skills so that when you next hit the lotto trail, you are better prepared to reply accordingly and tell them what they want to hear.

Basically, I think that your email told your lad you were broke, and could not follow his instructions and for that, you could have been dropped.

If this is the case, pick yourself up and charge right back into them !

Thanks smartbomb, just goes to show that it's not as easy as it seems, lol.
Oh well, I'll just carry on with the other I have going, I hope I manage to keep that one going.

May I suggest reading the 'lotto straight-bait analyzed and annotated ' post on lotto lads, there is a very nice one written up by Otterfan.

(Ooh thanks, mazda, for pimping my lotto bait thread!)

As for your bait, Billy.Basker, I think the mistake you made was putting too many complications in your way too early. My usual rule is to appear 100% compliant for at least a couple of weeks, and really make it look like I'm heading towards paying him. By then, after a few weeks have passed, he'll have sorted out the other responses from his mass-mailing, leaving just the ones that he can devote time and attention to. Of course, these are going to be the ones that look the most promising, so in that time you have to build up the illusion that you're one of the best prospects from all the responses he's received. Then you can start throwing in some delays and obstacles. He's less likely to drop you because (1) you've created the idea that you're a definite paying mark---why get rid of a sure thing?---and (2) he's spent time and money on you. Getting another victim to that stage would mean spending that time and money again; something he's going to be reluctant to do.

But keep at it! More lotto lads should be straight-baited.

Thank you otterfan, I really do appreciate the advice, you don't realise how hard it is to bait until you actually do it yourself.
