They have been good education points for my up and coming baiters. I explain that they are NOT true and don't click on things that you don't know anything about.

Other than that, I HATE them! Mad

I actually know someone that filled everything out for a free dell computer.

Long story short they got the computer. It worked fine too.

Their secret? 50 minutes of time and a throw away credit card that had a tiny balance. They filled out the forms, got the confirmation, closed the card.

Read those contracts carefully and you can burn them and force them under law to pay out. Wouldn't advise using a LARGE credit card though.

I happen to work in the incentive marketing industry. Unfortunately most of the merchants no longer accept the pre-paid credit card modality.

I think I have mentioned this before, using Firefox and the Adblock Plus extension you will never see one of those nasty things again, along with 99% of all other advertisements. I recommend the Easy Element filter subscription, very comprehensive and blocks about 99% of all advertisements.

@paster I used adblock but its caused webpages to load slowly. Maybe I should use a different filter set.

^^Interesting. Were you using the old Adblock and not Adblock Plus?

Edit: And make sure to only use one good filter set, some people add many and that can slow things down.

The newest version, i am certain it was the filter set I was using that slowed things down I will give Easy Element a try.

The other option, if you are not a big surfer, is to build your own filter set by manually selecting the ad's from the sites you visit. It takes a while, but keeps it mean and lean.

Edit: Good luck, it is a thing of beauty when properly configured.

I use adblock, and have all the major advertisers listed, no lag for me.

I never really click the ads, but I know some folks, even though after 8+ years looking at 'em, will click.

http://www.charityclickdonation.com is the only worthwhile ads I found to click.
