Big Brown just lost the Belmont Stakes  Poor Big Brown. The crack in his hoof could have affected his performance more than the trainer was saying b4 the race. Even with his special shoes. Plus they also didn't give him his steroid injection to prove he was still a good horse off of them. The combo could have killed his performance.  He finished dead last. First ever Triple Crown hopeful to finish last in the Belmont.
The vets are checking him over with a fine tooth comb right now, I hope he's ok. |

It was good to see his rider pull Big Brown out of the way and stand up. No sense in hurting an animal to come in 6th place. |

I love horses...... but have mixed feelings about racing. At 3 years old... they're a little young still for everything that goes into these races. Eight Bells wasn't a fluke. |
