The girl on the desktop is Alexis Dziena, an actress. I'm watching INVASION on DVD and she's in that, which is why she's on my wallpaper right now.

Also in the room is another complete PC and an old base unit waiting for the bits to make it into a complete unit before I find it a home with someone that needs a free PC. There's also a PC in both sons' rooms so we're not exactly short of computers here Very Happy

As for the big ass mouse mat thingy, I bought it in Staples probably 4 or 5 years ago for about £2. It's actually 2 parts. There's a 2 tone part and a clear plastic sheet on top. It's great for slipping sheets of paper with reminders in.

I've spent most of the evening uninstalling all the bloatware, crap and trial versions from the laptop. Just doing a restore "disc" took up 3 DVDS there was so much stuff on it!

I almost got that case as my last one, but it seemed flimsy (looked in person at CompUSA) even though all reviews said once stuff went into it, it was pretty sturdy. I ended up getting the Antec Proview II back breaker (heavy!).

I'm more interested in how you got the inside of your rig to look so neat! Any tips? I would love to build a new machine with a side window, but given the state of my current one I wouldn't dare!

The inside's a bit of a mess at the moment after putting in new drives and two cold cathode tubes. It's usually much neater than that. All it takes is some patience and lots of cable ties and you can keep all the wires neat and tidy and out of the way of the airflow. Today's good news is I managed to turn off that bloody annoying prompt you get EVERY SINGLE TIME you go to run a program. That was driving me barmy!

I have a new right angle glass desk in a box for the last 3 months, maybe I'd better unpack it and set it out!

I'll still need a bigger 'flick dish' though Embarassed
