Well..let's see...no, nothing overly interesting behind my Eater nick. I just love poker.

And this nickname wasn't used anywhere else online, so it seemed "safe" to use here. Smile

I should also note that, despite the thousands and thousands of hands I've played both online and live, I've yet to hit a royal flush. Hmm. I guess I should have nicknamed myself Overpair or Ace High Smile

My nick originates from the mythology described in Tolkien's books. Eressëa was the soulmate of Eru, the Higher Being who created Middle-Earth and the Undying Lands.

So if any mugu ever would want to make a google search on my "name" he'd wind up with a whole lotta Tolkien and LOTR sites Laughing

I had a lot of trouble coming up with an original name so I went to a screen name generator site. I typed in wasabi and two other things I don't even remember. wasabi_cow was one of the suggested names and I liked it. So I did a yahoo search on wasabi_cow to make sure I wasn't stealing someone's name. Other than a blog that has been deleted and is now available, there are no other wasabi_cows. Laughing

Plus, wasabi is good.

(A while ago, someone said they hadn't got it until they said it out loud, so if you don't get it... say it out loud!!!)

For the long boring version... a few years ago, I went to a conference with a friend. She wasn't signed up for it, so we put her down as my 'assistant' or some-such. I didn't know but she signed in under my company name, but as 'Sheila Blyge'. Ask her, not me. I've no idea why. Shocked

Because they put that on her name tag, and then scanned that in at every trade stand we visited, I still to this day get junk mail for Sheila Blyge, and it always makes me laugh. Laughing

And like others here, when I signed up for Eater, I needed something I would remember, but hadn't ever been used by me online.

Most of my characters are also pirates or amalgamations of various pirate names. Very Happy

Mine is lame. I wanted to register to the forum, having lurked for a while. I wanted something baiting related and didn't take the time to be creative. I did spell Baiter creatively though. Laughing

If I'd have known that I was going to stick around here this long and get this involved, I would have spent more time thinking of a username.
I do like the fact that most people here just call me "Ima" these days. I also cringe when I see someone new register with an "Ima _____" variation.

I have a PRS guitar which I love and baby. My musician friends started to refer to me as that "PRS Girl". Once I referred to one of them as a girly man resulting in the snappy retort of me being a girly girl (which I can be at times). Whenever I get too girly, I'm told to stop being such a PRS Girly Girl hence the name.

If you're unhappy with your nick you can always ask a mod to change it for you. Very Happy
