I have received this image of my Vlads Uncle "Igor" to whom I am to transfer the payment to. That won't happen any time soon but just wondering if it is a real passport or is it some other form of Russian ID.
I'm thinking it might be real because it may be required to be produced to collect the money. Then again it's all in Russian so I can't read it, the photo has something at the bottom that kind of looks like glue and there is no Exif information.
Why is the photo black and white?
This guy is supposed to be the Uncle of my 29 year old Vlad. Going by what looks like the date of birth the uncle is only 30. I haven't asked why there age is so close together but I bet that's a good story. |

It is possible to have your uncle/aunt be that close in age. Basically it would require a large gap in years between siblings. E.g. My dad was born in 1950, if his brother was born 24 years later, he would just be a year older than me.
But then again, he's just lying |

That's a common internal passport.
No...not real.
Even the stupidest vlad has yet to send a real one.
Always fake...sometimes you can find the same serial number on documents with different names and faces. |

I am Russian and you can ask me if you need help.
It seems like it is real one, but I am confused why it is black-white...
all passports have become colored long time ago.
May be in his republik they are still black-white... |

My ex's son who will be 10 years old in two weeks has a 13-year-old niece. (Don't ask lol!) So this guy really could be an uncle. |

BECAUSE IT IS A FAKE!
I can show you hundreds of these if I had time.
Learn how to determine you are in touch with a russian scammer. VERY EASY.
All of these documents are fake.
Hammer, if you aren't a troll, please accept that none of the documents, sentiments, data involved with russian scammers, bear any reality to real russian people, documents...etc.
Even the stupidest scammer is not going to send you real identity!
All they need to pick up money is an ID with the name of the person you sent it to....it is not the person in the pictures.
It will be somebody else with ID bearing the same name, or somebody with fake ID.
'Olga', who picks up the money, may be an 80 year old woman, and not a 25 year old hottie.
The russians use students, drug addicts, hookers, to pick up the money, OR, (these are criminals, right?) they have an insider at the bank, or use one of the available 'fee' pick up services offered by other crooks.
You need to learn how to identify positively these scams, and ignore everything they tell you. |

Thanks Stepan, I've seen the red ones before but I didn't know they had internal passports.
I notice as well on your versions you have two signatures on the upper half where a mine has only one.
Thanks for all the other comments on the age factor. I guess it is possible by some logical reasoning to work out that way but I might ask just see the story that comes back. |

If Stephan says it is a fake then someone who sees as many as him should be in the know. Scammers get their ID from many sources... victims... make them... poorly educated baiters... other crimes... with one thing in common, it wont be the boris you are writing to. |

Well the story is Uncle Igor is 30 years old and is my Vlads Mother's brother. The Mother is 51 years old.
I guess it's possible but I still doubt it. Still all she cares about is the money.

The story they tell you is a novelty, only....good for giggles!
Don't sweat it!
Once you KNOW it's a scammer.....the story is all crap, anyway.
The 'story' is what VICTIMS get sucked in by. We look for hard facts.
Email headers....google...etc.
The only importance 'the story' has, is, when it is posted publicly, (the letters) it's possible to find them via google, and connect the scammers up with other scams....
Victims may find the letters, 'warners' or helpers can use the similar letters to beat the unwilling victim over the head with, attempting to make some headway.
'But what if Olga is being held hostage by the russian mafia, and really loves me, and is being forced to write these letters to me?'
