Mine comes from the greatness that is Terry Pratchett and one of my favorite characters he created, the Librarian. The Librarian, used to be human but is now an orangutan and the only thing he can say is Ook.

It's sort of a nickname, but not one that people know me by in the rest of the internet. I have another one that is used loads but if I put that into google you'd find me easily.

This one on the other hand - about as unspecific as you can get.

I originally took the moniker from the character Gold Hat played by Alfonso Bedoya in the famous movie "Treasure of Sierra Madre". In the movie he is a Mexican bandit leader and encounters Fred Dobbs (played by Humphrey Bogart) and claims to be the Federales (government police). Bogart doesn't believe him and says:

Gold Hat: "Badges!? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges! I don't have to show you any stinking badges!!"

So with a wee bit of stretched logic I decided I didn't need a badge to hunt down Nigerian scum. Laughing

Martufello is an old italian comedian, now a complete loser, and when about him, everyone just remember an idiot that wasn't really able to make people laugh...

However i no longer use that name in my baitings, I prefer to use something related with Bruce Campbell and all his movies! Gh, I love Bruce Campbell...

To the left is my favourite toolbox toy. It's a Hilti DXA41 industrial nailgun. It'll drive a 3mm nail into 2" of concrete or 1/2" of rolled steel. It's not something I use very often, but just occasionally nothing else will do. Plus it scares the crap out of my co-workers which is always amusing. it does a dramatic number on compromised hard drives.

Significantly, it's got very little to do with my day job per se... I keep it around more for giggles than practicality.
