Well they were all either in his year or the one above or bellow, and It looks like quite a small college so I think the odds of them knowing him are pretty good.

Sorry I'm not help with the real work. I'm not much good at it yet, can't hurt to entertain the troops a bit tho Very Happy

I can't think of any reason to delay K0sch31's introduction into Ray #2's life. I have mentioned P3ter to him, but I don't think he knows about K0sch31, so it's time he learned.

I thought Ray #2 would head for the hills when the checks started bouncing and the $200,000 bank account was frozen, but he is sticking around to give me more vics to mail checks to. So maybe bloodthirsty Russian mafiosi won't scare him off either.

Good question. I have been assuming that K0sch31 knows Ray #2 is different from Ray #1, and that #2 is chopping #1's dolla.

I hadn't even thought of the possibility that K0sch31 thinks #2 is the same as #1. But that presents some fun possibilities too.

I think you can play it whichever way tickles your fancy.

Oops, you posted again before me, so I see you chose option B - K thinks both Rays are the same. Looks good! I hope that gets a rise out of Ray #2.

I got a reply from the EFCC a few days ago, and have been debating with others whether it's genuine and, if so, what to do about it.

I know that the EFCC don't have much of a track record when it comes to chasing up Scammers (or we wouldn't be here!) but the tone of their e-mails seems quite encouraging.

Just to confirm (because the messaging on the site seems to be throwing an SMTP error?!) that efccnigeria.org really is the EFCC. How unlikely is that? Not efcc.gov.ng, or something more intuitive. Ahhh well.

Ray #2 appears to be abandoning ship. I haven't heard from him in 3 1/2 days. Perhaps he got discouraged by the increasing number of bounced checks. Perhaps he was scared off by K0sch3i. Perhaps he finally realized how fictional I really am. Or perhaps he's taking a break like Ray #1 did a couple of times, only to come roaring back. I'm leaving town for the weekend. Perhaps I'll come back on Monday to find a fresh email from Ray #2, begging to be baited some more.

If this is the end of the bait, I want to thank Music Man for kicking off this fun adventure by sharing Ray with all of us. And a huge thanks to all of my amazingly creative fellow baiters. I'm a pretty straight baiter myself, so it would have been boring - and not nearly as convincing - without the great humor and inventive storytelling of all of you.

I'm still not sure of the meaning of Ray #1's big confession. Was it his final scam? He couldn't get any money from me, but he thought he was fooling me into forgiving him. He's so religious, maybe he really felt my forgiveness was worth something.

I don't know if we stopped Ray's scamming activities, but I think we put a large dent in it. And I'm betting this past 6 months of his young scamming life will be a time he will never forget.

No argument. Ray #1 has been entranced by his trust in B0v1s for such a long time he probably has fonder memories of you than he does of his own mother. P3t3r Gr@ves has had a very enjoyable time with this bait but I thought that he should fall on his sword for the benefit of continuing the torture - Ray was simply no longer responding to P3ter's taunts. If Ray #1 really has opted out of the scamming business then it's a coup of sorts.

this has been such an emotional journey for us all - I'm almost sorry it seems to be ending, but so pleased it ended with Ray's salvation.
