I can't imagine prisons in Chad being anything other than places for those who can't afford bribes to slowly die. Beds are unlikely, let alone showers. In many third-world prisons, you'll only get the food your relatives bring you. Doesn't look promising, does it?

Well, 419Weasel called my cell and patched me through to stinky so I could hear his lovely voice. The delay was horrible, but it seems that the WU person informed him of a Chad law that only allows transfers of 1000 USD or less, so he wants us to split it up into 3 parts for him. Unfortunately, they close at 3 today and aren't open tomorrow. I assured him I'll do my best to get it done today, but it might be Monday morning.

I also asked him if they're having fun there in Abeche. He said no. No fun at all. Anyway, she'll post that call up tomorrow.

I can't believe they didn't catch hell over all of the insults on the WU form.

What does it take for a guy to have a quiet walk down the street on a nice, breezy day? Also, I just had a new mattress delivered. It's really nice. A king size. But guess what! It doesn't fit in our room. It's too big. What a series of crappy events.
