Hi there!

Some weeks ago, I received an email, well 2 emails, both identical but 2 different sets of pictures. I knew this was a love scam, thanks to my 14 years of internet usage and common sense. But I didnt put this one down. I had actually taken out an email contract with a hosting company for one of my domain names. So I set up an email account with a common teenage loverboy looking name. I sent an email to the email adress given in the original email. Now this ones a kicker and a real pain in the arse for the scammer. "She" used an email adress for sending me the obviously scripted invite letter, then she stated using another adress to reply to it with "because she was at a friends house" THEN she replys to my initial responce using ANOTHER adress! Over 3 domain names! I know they can use software like the bat, but thats just stupid.

Anyway, I got chatting with Irina, but it was pointless. It was a blaitant "SCRIPT, REPLY, SCRIPT, REPLY" job. I would ask her questions about her family, and she even asked me to ask questions, none of them responded. Its always along the lines of "I CANT WAIT TO GET TO MOSCOW!" and increasing amounts of BS on how she "loves me".

Now - I really want to take Irina OFF SCRIPT, and get her to ring my phone, I want to record it and see if a 40 year old man is on the other end. After hearing the one where the pervert sang the titanic song over the phone, I now love this forum. Thanks guys, I have always been into the deep dark alleys of internet scamming and I didnt even know this site existed until recently.

Well heres a few questions.

How can I take irina off script? (if she does actually read the emails)

She mentions buying a phone card to call me, what format should my mobile number be in?

Whats the best way to keep a scammer like this hanging before they give up? I can tell the money part is not far off since shes "booking the flights and touring moscow as we speak" and something always goes wrong in russia or nigeria when money is involved Smile

I might actuallty send her a few small amounts of money, like if she asks for 500 dollars (i am in UK so its pound sterling) I will send her a measly �2 via western union to keep the money element rolling in.

Dont worry I wont let out my house adress, she can have my mobile number plus a few tiny amounts of money.

I can see this turning into an overpayment scam or account flashing scam more than an advance fee fraud, just a little thing abotu what shes saying suggests that!

When I get bored with her, ill post her main email adress so u lot can have a go.

She will be wanting money for a visa or money to travel to get the visa etc.
Script script script.
Boris is always hard to get of script. 6 months is nothing unusual and from a recent post a record 6 years is possible.

Don't even waste your time with that. It would serve no purpose. The fees to send it would buy a nice bottle of wine. Getting them to the WU office for no reason at all holds much more satisfaction. Your �2 may seem trivial in some of these countries, it could well be seen as a days or a weeks pay.

I agree with the bait safe. Its not a good idea to give out any personal information. Post the headers anyway. If you want the bait for yourself, just say so. You're not the only one to get the emails and scripts. Another baiter may already be working her. We all have plenty to work with. Read the stickies, get a mentor, and play with the lad until you get one. Wink

The bat is a legit application, however it is so widely used by vlads it has become a self pronouncement or a fingerprint of the trade.
I wonder when they use the professional version if they paid for it or used a vics money. Confused

put it on western union list and you can choose any bank in
moscow,they tell it is international service and I can pick up the
money at any bank of moscow. They said I can get only western union
transfer because I have not any bank accounts in moscow and I
have only passport and it is enough to get it!
I can call you as soon as I receive the transfer to let you know about
it. And please after you complete a transfer write me the number of
your transfer, I'm not sure how it's call but they will give you a
number of your transfer.

Time to waste her time now - I suggest you try a for a trophy.

My hunch is that your quest will end trophy-less, sorry but there is something in the header.

When going for the trophy, bring in a third party person. I use my parents they are wise people and they need to see proof, also your trust in them is never in question.

You will now get a lot of moaning, and your Vlad will be quite rough, do not slap him too hard - let Vlad moan, remember you are in LOVE.

Also be prompt in your reply's - keeping them on the hook is fun, but hard work - remember if they are off script then so are you!!!

I would also start to get your Fake money transfers ready, or try and get the bank details.

Okay I have replied asking for details on where to send a western union payment/bank transfer.

I have setup a K7 number, but the problem is how do I explain that she has to ring a US number?

I could use her voicemail as a trophy if I request certain details?

She claims to be buying international phone cards, but I dont think this ever materialised, I dont think Irina ever materialised tbh Very Happy

m1rkd1rk - Let your Vlad tell you how he wants the money transfered - then you can be obtuse. Never make a suggestion to them, you spend more time telling them what they already know.

I tend not to use Western Union, my local shop is closed for renovations, also Vlad can check online to see if you have sent a payment, if anything use Moneygram, they have to get up and make the trip to the office and check.

Going for a bank account is better, you can close this down (send an E-mail to Allan). Again I tell Vlad that I am not a troglodyte and bank transfer is better for large sums.

If Vlads ask's for $1600 then tell that this no problem, once you have confirmation - you could possible send a little more, your third party has also offered to help with their expense's

K7 numbers are OK, I have never really had to use them, but the PIMP service is excllent, I would use this.

Well - if i wasnt a baiter, i would have cancelled all communication with her if i was sucked into the scam, mainly because it would confuse a normal person.

I just sent her a long email asking to clarify wether she still needs payment and to ring my "cousin" with the adress details of where to send the money (i dont think western union allowed payments with just name detiails last time i checked)

That is actually what I told her to do, but "she didnt know why she was leaving the message"

and I also told her after she has sent details I will give her my mobile number using one of the services above.

Anyone have any vital advice here?

Make it MG. They can't check that online. The only difference to you is you give them an 8 digit number instead of a 10 digit one.

At this point you should be slowing down and only sending stuff when absolutely necessary. Delay tactics are what this is about. In the end you are never going to send any money so you have to create the illusion you did.
My advice is slow down a little. Tell them you sent the money. Keep telling them you sent it. They want the money they should go every day for a week and keep checking. It's not your fault moneygramme are slow.

They take 7 days to reissue receipts

You can hold out on that blurry receipt for at least 2-4 weeks at this point.

They want your money, they will wait.
