My girlfriend got a 419 email through last night and I told her about scam baiting. Remembering that I'd had a nose through 419eater before ages ago, we had a look at some previous baitings (the Church of the Red Breast especially) and thought I'd give it a go myself. I was both a little impressed at his inventiveness and of course a bit sickened that he'd actually linked to a BBC News page about the Concorde air crash and the scam is to do with the wealth of a family who all died in it. Anyway, I set up a gmail account to reply to him about it:

Some of you might have noticed the Simpsons references. I was thinking of bringing in a Herschel Krustofski later on. Maybe a distant German relation to Santos? Or even a lawyer trying to claim the money too?

Anyway, I thought I'd introduce myself and see if I'm on the right track.

I'm sure others will pile in here, but let me be the first to say bait safe, read the stickies and have fun.

It seems like just about every person on that flight left millions of dollars in various bank accounts. I must get 2 of them a week. Shocked

Sorry to necropost but I got a few friends into baiting and thought I'd check to see if I'd posted any more of my dealings with Mr Hassian. I was kind of busy last summer and didn't do that much with the bait but there were a couple more emails, and I might start a new one if I have time. My local Association of Rat Slayers and Extractors is also very helpful and I might be able to get some temporary funds form them.
