Hi everyone, I was wondering if you all could help me here. I put my palm T|X up for sale on craigslist and i got a response from someone who wanted to buy it. He wanted to me to send my paypal info asap, and when i asked for a mailing address he sent me a Nigerian address. What should I do?? Accept paypal payment?? any help is GREATLY appreciated. |

It will either be an overpayment scam, or else he will be using stolen details.
Just tell him that you already have a buyer and he'll go away. |

I am not too familiar with PayPal modalities from the lads, but I do smell a scam of some sort.
There are others her that are more familiar with this type of scam, but IMHO tell him it sold locally and drop him.

This is another classic example of why scammers ruin the internet for many people.
The advice is as above just drop him, sound advice - if in doubt drop out.
Im only adding for fairness that because its overseas there is an added risk, but to be fair to the millions of innocent people out there were only telling you to drop hiom because he "MIGHT" be a lad.
In plain english, because a group of people do so much scamming etc it causes misery to those who do not.
Could you imagine just because you live in the UK most people would not send you items from places such as ebay? Well we do it to nigeria and other locations around the globe - sickens me to the core but theres no other options.
Thats the terrible damage lads do and yet another reason to hate them. |
