He is nothing if not persistant my Ghana Lad... I've blown his story completely out of the water and he's still insisting he's a little old lady in hospital. Mind you he is not a scam artyist!

Personally, I would ask her what the colour of a person's skin has got to do with popularity, because you judge people by their actions and not their looks, age, or their ethnicity. |

^^ Nice one - I might just do that as I'm now into yanking his chain and telling him he's a scammer and the Ghanaian Police are onto him (yeah, right).
I'd just assumed that he's getting all flustered and meant "well known" rather than "popular"; "her" standard of English has gone completely into the toilet since he went way off script. |

He's trying to get you on the defensive though, and you could reverse this situation by telling him you rang the hospital he claims to be in using a number you found on the web, and they said they never heard of an old lady by that name. |
