Guys what is your opinion on sky HD i was thinking about getting it, i mostly watch discovery on Sky I heard its amazing in HD. |

I have Virgin V+ or whatever it is, on a 42" HD TV and I honestly cannot tell the difference between HD and ordinary programs. I would like to think I have pretty good eyesight. Not worth it in my opinion, although Sky may be different.
Also remember that not a lot of programs are filmed in HD at the moment, it is more a future investment. |

Here in Germany Pro7 and Sat1 have ceased broadcasting in HD for the time being. But while it lasted, it was *great*! I have a HD receiver and a good LCD set connected by HDMI. The real HDTV programs were unbelievable, but even the normal (= non-HD) programs were better.
If you have the equipment (receiver, TV, HDMI), then get Sky HD by all means. |

Also Sky HD is not tru HiDef anyway (1080p/i) AFAIK. I believe it's transmitted at a max of only 720p. Still much better than SD TV but nevertheless not full HD. |
