I got this in my gmail catcher today, have you seen this before its not fake btw.

Quote:
The Gmail Scam Monitoring Team believes that you have emailed a
probable scam email account hosted by Gmail. No genuine recruitment
agency uses Gmail email accounts, nor any other free email provider
like Yahoo, Excite, or Hotmail.

In fact, no reputable agency sends email offering jobs by email. Any
unsolicited email claiming to be from a recruitment agency is a scam.

Any phone numbers given are likely to redirect to an anonymous prepaid
cellphone in Nigeria.

Recruitment scams typically start with an email advertising a job.
After a couple of email exchanges, you will be told that you have got
the job, and you will then be asked to pay fees in advance for visas
or other documents, air tickets, insurance, or some other reason. If
you pay, the thief will ask for more fees and finally disappear. Any
money you pay will disappear. He is trying this scam on dozens of
people at the same time.

It is best to immediately stop all communication with the scammer. Do
not give the scammer any personal information (phone number, address,
passport, CV, etc).

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please tell your friends
about Nigerian 419 scams as education is the only true way to stop
these scammers.

If you have any questions regarding the scam, please visit an anti-419 website

A fairly well written warning.

If the reply to works, just thank them and let them know you're a baiter.

^^^ Technically, we're about baiting and those other sites are about educating the public without baiting the scammers.

There's been some debate before about whether or not victims or potential victims would make suitable baiters. My recollection is that they wouldn't.

(This discussion was some time ago; I invite anyone with a better memory to correct me as need be.)

I'm with Barry- Eater doesn't need to be on that list of links. SW won't be added, so no need to bother with that, either.

@ Mucs Remmacs, that's a standard warning that Google/Gmail displays, it usually attached to things like phishing emails, or where a dodgy site url is given in the email, or scam emails.
