I am trying to convince a vlad I am in Moscow. I know she wont be there to see me but need to keep moving. Anyone know of some local titbits I can drop in to create the flavour of a stranded lonely heart? |

Right. The trap is set. She has emailed me to say unless I have the money sent to her she cannot meet me in Moscow. All I need now is a few bits of info (lonely planet) and the webcam in the internet cafe and I can lay on the guilt for a weekend. |

Just use http://maps.live.com and/or http://maps.google, tell him you can't understand the Taxi driver an go visit McDonalds there and some of the sights the McDonalds are on Google map so you can pick the one that is most convenient. 
I can't read it, but they have a website for details and pictures online too to make it "just real"

I kind of doubt a vlad will care if you are in moscow.
They have idiots showing up sometimes looking for them.
They're probably a bit confused but no much else.
They'll stick to what they know works....mass mailing, scripts, and many victims sending modest amounts of money.
Besides...moscow is an expensive city
I doubt even a stupid vlad would safari there on a whim
Maybe you could claim to have gotten on the wrong train and are stranded in kazan or yoshkar ola?

Well as I was flying to them I would hardly be claiming my hat. I was HOPING for some kind of "I will send my brother" as I was on their doorstep. The key thing for me was not to get them looking but I am hoping the fact I was there will mean that I am super keen and likely to pay at some point. |
