Just received the following great great fantastically fantastic news, boy am I lucky, I am soooooooooooo lucky I can hardly contain myself -

She asked you to take these money like light memory (recollection) of
her. I have not the time and the wish to write to explain about all
situation. I must only send money! Not more! The wish of the deceased
is the law!!! And you must honour the memory of the deceased! You must
take her money because it's her wish or I think it's possible you will
have very bad situations in your life. Therefore write me all
necessary information what I asked and I'll send you these money! I
have not the computer in my home, I writing you from internetcafe,
can't send you her photo. I'll send money ONLY to your account

Ummmmmmmmmm, surely they cannot possibly think anyone would fall for this crapola and actually do what they ask, tell me it aint so Joe?

One Lad using the "Partner in Paraguay" modality threw me a pretty measly bone...

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but to me it looks like Tarquin has done a love bait in the past with Irina that never did get as far as actual nuptuals.
Natasha seems to be the same vlad writing back with a new angle, that his previous love interest had died and left him some money. Sort of like a russian recovery scam.

Tarquin, can you clarify that? What do the IPs tell you?

But is the $3000 all her money? Because according to the letter you're supposed to take her money. If she has more than $3000, shouldn't you take that too?

Yes Mugatu you are correct, this post was from an ongoing Bait I was involved in and I posted it as an example of the lows these scum will sink to and to ascertain if anyone else had received this type of letter lately and if it was thei new tactic or not. I originally posted in the Romance/Dating forum but it was moved to here, wrongly in my opinion as it directly related to an ongoing and continuing Romance Scammer Bait.
The IP numbers all check out as to coming from the same locale, of course.

Has anyone else ever been asked by a Russian Scammer like this creature your bank account name and details? I always thought that was the Nigerian Scammers method and it's a new one on me, perhaps a new tactic the Russian Scammers are employing out of desperation?
Anyhoo, my Secretary Miss Crotchrot will be handling any future correspondence with this Bait.

I've been getting some Ladd/Love-bait cross-over scams in one of my accounts (oddly only to the female character) lately.

She want to deposit real money into your account, she will then send you more than your $3,000 which you will need to transfer to others.

Of course this all sounds very good except the money will be from a compromised credit card.

The inheritance angle is new to me from a vlad but the overall scheme is not a new concept.

The big problem for you is that its not so easy to bait, if you provide a fake bank account she will soon know and the bait will be over, of course you may be able to do this a couple of times, you may be able to stall by asking for the funds to be send by some other method but at the end of the day she will only accept the bank deposit into your account.

You obviously cant supply a real bank account as the money will go in and you will be answering questions when the police knock at your door.

You may even try as suggested asking where the rest of her money is and why you only got $3,000, tell her you want to see a copy as you are sure she would have left you more.
