I'd heard it was a bit snowy over there.

We've not had the usual snow my way at all this winter but it was quite bad a few miles from here the other week.

We're mostly going for sideways rain as anyone who watched Scotland v England at the rugby will testify

. I hate snow too. I'm assuming you got dumped on by the latest storm. That is one of the reasons I live where it is much warmer. These pictures were taken late this afternoon. The intent is to give you something to look forward to and not as an attempt to rub it in. "California Dreamin', On such a winter's day".

Yep, I can commiserate with Obi. We got somewhere between 10-14 inches with the latest storm. Hard to tell exactly, but deep enough to lose sight of Riley the Beagle for 5 minutes at a time Laughing

26 degs C here at the moment had a 2 hour surf before lunch and am contemplating hitting the waves for another hour or so. Water temp 20 deg C.

@PRS: Such lovely shots! Just to remember the feeling of warmth, I set myself on fire Sixx-style this evening and roasted marshmellows. Thank gawd for painkillers. You're really good at reminding me of what I don't have! In fact, are those shots of open flowers a reminder of what I missed when you broke my heart on the valentine thread????

Global warming BS! its global cooling. there is a big problem here with roofs collasping because there so much smow on them. my snowblower is only 3 years old and im going to have to replace it for next year cause i wore it out this year.

We missed that snow storm, thankfully. Now we're in the 30's for this whole week (if it was accurately predicted). Snow is finally melting, and everyone seems to be cheering up.

^^^ Yeppers --- hit Ohio --- two feet of snow. Thankfully it was 50 today were I am and half of it melted.

9 inches here in North Central Texas last Thursday and they shut down the schools. How are we every going to teach our children about stamina? Snow builds character. Why I use to wear a snowsuit every winter with three layers of longjohns underneath. Then I would step outside take three steps run back into the house cause I had to use the bathroom......those were the days.

Well we've got a break coming up here in the GWN! Supposed to be going all the way up to 5 or maybe 7 this week, which I think is something like 340 farenheit for you Yanks, and I'll take anything I can get above freezing.

Just think of it... finally I won't have to keep climbing onto my roof to chop frozen smoke out of the chimney!
