LAGOS, Nigeria (AFP) - A Nigerian man has been sentenced to 18 months in jail for dressing up as a woman and loitering around Lagos international airport, court officials said Tuesday.....

You dress up as a woman and lurk around Lagos airport and you get banged up, if you'll pardon the expression, for it. Yet you can scam a little old lady out of here life savings and, provided you grease the palms of the right people, you drive around Lagos Island in a nice shiny Mercedes with air con and the ubiquitous 'Charles' and 'Miriam' sticker on the front windscreen.

I am suprised they let *her* into the airport to begin with. When I flew out of MM last October there were armed guards at entry doors to the airport asking people if they had tickets for flights and turning away some from the doors. The security inside was pretty tight too and it took forever to get through the lines and checkpoints...
