I just got back from a 5 day business trip to Montreal and Quebec city. Montreal has received so much snow (over 3 meters- approx. 10 ft) that they're starting to run out of places to store it.
Quebec city has received over 4 meters so far (over 12 ft.) and the forecast for March is another 1.5 meters. There is so much snow that the ground floor windows of most houses have disappeared.

It was -26 celsius w/ a wind chill of -35 C. on Friday and 20 cm of snow in 60km/h winds yesterday. 3 more 20cm plus storms are forecasted for this week.

And I thought winters on the west coast sucked.

I'm trying to imagine it but somehow I can't, after 70 degree temperatures today and warmer weather predicted for the next few days........

Today will be fine, but tomorrow we'll probably get more snow (mind you, the percent chance of course raised last night from 30% to 50%)

ps: I believe we have about 78 inches so far, 80 inches breaks the record.

we've had over a 100 in.s of snow so far this year. last year we only had 19 in. today its going to get into the 50's so we can get a little melting going on.

Had a warm winter this year. Not under -10c.
Unlike the previous one, when I had a cold dry one, max 25c to 30c below 0.
Not much snow either. Last weekend had a storm that affected all continental Europe. Had some hail too, not big, the size of green peas, but lasted for an hour.

70+ degrees F Saturday, was out in a t-shirt and jeans. Today it is white, and they say we could get up to 20 inches of snow. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I grew up in the Dakotas and miss the cold snowy winters. I usually take my vacations in winter and head North. They just announced they are closing the library and sending the staff home. These whimps.

the wether here is messed up totally.

we had no snow here at all (normal is 3 inches- 2 foot in a year)

and january was so mild that i had to go back to my spring/autum coat Shocked

most tempritures were like +7 when +2 would be normal

feb was a bit colder, with frost at night and temps around +4-7 which is still fairly warm for feb.

still march sofar is perfectly normal
(warm in day frost at night)

anythig will be better than 2007 when august was the wettest on record Twisted Evil

I sure picked the wrong year to sell my snowmobile i havent been able to ride it for the past 3 year so i sold it a little before christmas, and what happens ass deep snow now i have a boat and i bet the lakes will dry up

Mid twenties C here in NZ over the weekend, I had three or four swims in the pool.

BTW, anyone who has a pool, I've bought a solar powered device which keeps the pool clean. Its called a Floatron. It really works to, and I'm a paid up member of the sceptics league. I run the chlorine level at 0.5 ppm or lower and have had absolutely no problem with algae or anything else since I put the thing into the pool. And that's with the water temperature at around 24 - 25�C.
