A DOG THREAD! Very Happy

Here is mine. She is a black lab/collie mix almost 2 years old, and really smart...not always a good thing though, cause that makes it easier for her to get into things she isn't supposed to on occasion. Evil or Very Mad

Ok, people. I spent about 15 minutes trying to post that pic here but I can't figure it out. I have the IMG, /IMG tags but it just don't work. How is it done?

FINALLY!!! A dog thread!!! This is exactly what this forum needs.

I haven't owned a dog since my baby died almost 6 years ago. Crying or Very sad

She was 17. But I do dognap my friend's dog (which really should be my dog since he loves me more Laughing

) from time to time. I kind of like this arrangement b/c I can enjoy the dog & when I get tired of the responsibility, I can take him back.

As for the image hosting, I usually just copy the link from image shack & paste it in the message. I don't recal ever putting the IMG tags on. But I'm no expert or anything

@Hacker. Yep. That's why I deleted it. Wink

Cobcob is correct- Imageshack does really odd things with picture links. What I did, (and what I think he did) is hot linked the picture by right clicking, copy image location, paste into your post, then highlight and seclect image.

It will display that way.

Photobucket doesn't have those issues, btw.

You just gotta prefer something that treats you with total contempt, rather than running around, eager to please.

(and yes, have had 2 German Shepherds and a Border Collie in the family in the past, as well as about 5 cats, all at various times, sometimes simultaneously)

That just doesn't work for me. I actually don't mind cats, I have lived w/ some, tho they were not mine & they were all cool. But I detest kittens. I don't know why.

Anyway, enough about cats. This is the long awaited, much needed DOG thread.

wifey and I have seven (7) chihuahua's and one really fat basset hound we have a sign hanging on the wall that sez " a dog is the only thing that loves you more that its self"

Hehe, about cats&dogs getting together... Brings back some memories.
Some years ago a cat that lived at me house, mother of 4, dissapeard.
Me old dog (a German Shepherd-Labrador mix) adopted the kittens. He was their pa and protector, always sleept together.

I know dog talk and cat talk too. I just cannot resist a cat looking confidantly/friendly at me. It's just like a dog wagging its tail and getting mud stains all over your pants. Dogs are more exuberant and buttkissing (That's true!) while cats are more reserved and harder to befriend, but I love them both.

Dogs are that way b/c they are manipulating humans into loving & caring for them. There was a show on canine domestication on Discovery channel. Dogs know what they are doing. But unlike cats, they just choose not to have a giant stick up their ass about it that's all.

Might be, but in less civilised countries (like mine), most dogs&cats earn their loving&caring. In the countryside we keep them as guard/shepherd dogs, and for them cats, there's always a place for a rodent exterminator in da house Wink

From me, they received the love and respect they deserved. They were not pampered or abused, just treated right.

I prefer cat threads, as they're more lazy and you don't get bite marks from them Razz

(but not CLAW marks....).

I can't have a dog because they need someone there for when they need to go "out", but with the hours I'm working, I hardly think a cat would be good in my life Razz
