Only if Microsoft releases a Visual Studio update with a "Compile for Macintosh" button or I figure out how to write Mac programs.

Neither of those is very likely, I'm afraid.

EDIT: I take that back. I may release a browser-based version that you can run from any web browser. I'll keep you posted.

Which language did you write it in?

Edit: It doesn't seem to be anything .NET. Mono says something about Visual Basic, so I guess you used the old VB and not VB.NET, right?

Too bad. .NET would have made it more platform-independent.

I'll try in Wine.

Edit: Now Wine tells me to install the Windows-version of Mono... So is it .NET or .not?
Gotta check the Fedora-repos if there's something for Mono I'm missing.

Well, I just know it requires the .NET Framework 2.0 to run. I don't know about that Linux thing. Laughing

If it were written in FreeBASIC, that'd be one thing... but oh well...

As far as I have read Mono should be pretty much untouched by it, at least so far, and what's heard. Of course nobody can be sure.
Anyway, it's still included in Fedora, so I guess it's still okay to use it. Wink

I wouldn't miss it much if it were gone, I have to admit.

@bearkat - sounds like a .net error - make sure you have .net 2.0 installed (I assume VB 2005 does require this - hacker9, do you know?)

I don't imagine MS are going to get tough over Mono. It's their get-out-of-jail-free card when people say .NET is proprietary and an abuse of monopoly.

I don't want to touch it either, but for wishy-washy, tree-hugging, hate-MS reasons.

^^You can get it from the Windows Update Web site. The easiest way to get there is to open IE and go to the "tools" menu. "Windows Update" will be one of the options on the list.

The .net updates will show up in the "recommended" section, as opposed to the "critical updates" section.
