It's an exclamation. The lads use that to show excitement or emphasis. It can be used derisively (as in your example) or for genuine excitement.

Is the written exclamation equivalent of a verbal exclamation. Also used in the video (and song) "I go chop your dollar". Watch the video and you will see how it is used in a conversation.
