Last year Rumbero and I were doing a joint bait on some Lads. We were trying to convince them that we had a some of vans that were to be given out to good causes. We had a couple of sniffs, and a few abortive conversations (as you do!) and it appears that there was this one lad who took the bait.
The problem is, that due to unforeseen circumstances Rumbero had to leave the scene for a while and I didn't keep the files, I thought the lad was a lost cause, he had seemed to be interested, but he was conversing with Rumbero as we used one account to reel them in, and split them up if necessary, some came back to the main account, others stayed seperate.

Rumbero, after his return has been catching up on old accounts and sent this (edited) message to me.

I am just posting some details on the safari:

Last year SF and myself decided to give two vans to any charity that could use them. A scammer from the island of Sao Tome took the bait.
As you all know, the scammers always want the goodies delivered to their door step.

I told the mugu that the island airport was too small for the cargo plane to land .
I decided to use a Baluga cargo plane. I told the Rev, that the airstrip was too small. I told him if they could extend the airstrip 400 more feet there would be no problem to land the cargo plane.

The only airport that would allowed the cargo plane was in Gabon.
The ghost warehouse had received the two vans and were just waiting for the charity to pick them up.

I had a major operation during the middle of this bait and could not continue. I stopped baiting for a while. I had forgotten all about the
vans and checked the warehouse addy only to find out that the charity had
been desperately looking for the physical address of where the warehouse was located

I checked the IP to make sure that he was sending me letters from Gabon.

Maybe I should write a letter and tell the Rev. that the vehicles were sold to pay for the storage charges that were incurred

Could you say that the vehicles were stolen, but they have now been recovered and are waiting to be collected from the compound in Douala, Cameroon.

EDIT: I just checked the Safari distance guide, and its 186 miles from Sao Tome to Libreville....On a ferry....!!!

Congrats on the safari. Not to hijack the thread, but when might we expect another safari from the Master? Oh how I miss checking in on an hourly basis to see the status of lads on their way to Darfur, etc.

Since this safari was almost considered an auto safari
and the mugu was willing to travel. I will attempt to get him on a second safari.

Simba: I used the maps live. That Bohigal found. So far it is the best for doing a map search.

That is how I was able to find the little town.
