About a year and a half ago Big Worm and I set out to do a tribute to the safari king, YeaWhatever (even though he is an unimaginiable bastard pig and spreads rumours about me Evil or Very Mad

). YW was BW's mentor. YW has offered tons of help to me in my safari baits. The first ASEM safari modality I ever saw was from YW and it has been the foundation of most of my baits.

We found a special lad, Emmanuel from South Africa. The beauty of this guy is that he is both a lad AND an artist. In most cases, the lads seem to pay someone to get the art done. But not this character. He does it himself. He does something that neither BW or myself had ever seen. His artwork is done with yarn and somehow he paints it. He even made the frame. It is made out of some kind of exotic wood and stone, if I am not mistaken.

I'm a bit disappointed that we never could get him to send the artwork over here to the US. We have been trying for over a year, but our attempts are just unsuccessful. Nevertheless, we got one of the most unique pieces of artwork that I have seen.

So, here is to YW and all of the massive safaris that have provided us with more laughter and ideas than we can handle. clapping

Wow! I'm blushing (not really). Thanks a lot for the kind words. OK, I take it all back. You're not really an oddity of indisernable gender. I'm still wondering about BW though.

Great trophy there jojobean. Tell me is it stuck up in that "oh so special small room" in your house? (I believe looking at YW image from time to time has been know to cure constipation) Laughing

Nice job, JoJo and BW. That was really sweet of you to honor YW like that. He told us he wasn't blushing, but we all know he is! YW does have a heart. It's very tiny, but it's in there, somewhere. We all love you, YW. Very Happy

In all honesty, I really do not deserve such an honor, especially from the Travel Agent. I am flattered though. And yes, it is too bad that the idiot lad could not get the original to the States where it belongs.

Thanks for posting this Jojo! I know we tried for over a year to get it sent...its a bummer it will probably never come stateside. I was hoping we could have shipped it out to YW for a surprise.

We have another piece of art that we actually got, although a different subject. Jojo informed me that he will be publishing that bait. Its pretty funny!

No, the Homer painting is done on canvas. Different artist as a result of the same ASEM. We got one other one too. I'd love to know the kind of art, but he is not emailing us anymore. He just didn't have the money to send it I guess. It's really nice, I wish I had better pics. And I wish I could see it in person.

This one never got sent to the US though.

YW's super-safaris were what first persuaded me to sign up at the Eater.

Hate to admit it but I think I would break all the rules of baiting and actually give YWs portraitist some $$$ to ship that thing to it's rightful owner in the US. It's genius (the bait and the artwork).
