His second in twelve years. Not to be a downer or anything, he's ok now! Here's what the blockage looked like this time:
And now, the new and improved version after the heart cath and stent placement:
Isn't modern medicine cool? Heart attack Tuesday (he still swears it was the habanero peppers he ate Monday night  ), stent put in yesterday, and I'm heading to the hospital to pick him up tonight. Amazing. |

Glad to hear he's ok.
My family has a history of it as well, which was part motivator with my weight loss and overall healthy change.
As for the pics, are you sure you didn't just xray tree roots? |

I'm glad to hear your Dad is doing fine, Frozboz. My Dad had open heart surgery for an aneurism and heart valve replacement, and I know how scary that can be. Best of luck to him after this operation. |

Thanks all! My dad's a great guy and I want to keep him around as long as possible. I just dropped him off at their house. He was very glad to see his dog and to sit in his easy chair in front of his giant TV. He has a month off work, and cardiac rehab for as long as he needs it.
Because of his heart issues it's caused me, in my early 30s, to get regular checkups and be obsessive about my fat intake and exercise. |

Tell your Dad that there are a whole bunch of people all over the world cheering him on. It takes times like this to really appreciate parents. My Dad has had four angioplasties, an aortic aneurysm, cancer, diabetes, congestive heart failure, two transurethral resections and three cases of anaphylactic shock. Each time I've worried about him, spent time with him and we've gotten closer. He's gotten everything cured except for the congestive heart failure. Stopping smoking after 73 years was good for him.  |
