After getting really tired of only meeting.....

A. Ex-Girlfriends friends
B. My sisters friends
C. My sisters ex-boyfriends sisters
D. Ex-Girlfriends reprising their previous roles
E. an ex-girlfriends sister (fun at the family X-Mas party.. Laughing

)
F. No girls at all

I went and reluctantly signed up at Match.com....best thing that ever happened to me. My son turned the "big" 1 last Thursday and we're going on 2 years of marriage.

I was engaged once too. We met at college. I'm glad that it didn't work out - we weren't right for each other.

I practice polygamy here. I met quite a few of my girlfriends/wives here on Eater. Most of them don't know who the other ones are, that just keeps me out of trouble.

I met my wife at a bar, of course.

April 1st few years back, my friend Jay invited someone extra along for drinks one time, a mate of hers back from university over Easter. I was right narked, Mad

I liked spending time with Jay not with some random guy.

Random guy turned out to be just right and we're getting married in October having been together almost six years Laughing

I met my wife at a concert, introduced by a mutual friend we know through the local music scene. Turns out our paths had crossed many times, at many other gigs in a city thousands of miles away, but we never met until we had both moved to another country.

No kids but we have a badger. Er, I actually do mean fluffy kitty cat this time.

My SO went out with an ex friend of mine. The idiot treated her very badly (unbeknown to me) until she wised up and gave him the elbow.
We still saw each other socially and after a while one thing lead to another.
It's not serious, serious, but we are there for each other and it suits us both right now.

I met my fiance at Rehab. I had to do a class for a DUI and she was my therapist. I asked her if I can take her out for a drink after the class.

We ended up having coffee and talked for a few hours. She was a little hesitant about the whole Patient/Client thing....but a few weeks later, she wasn't worried about it.

She did end up giving me a good recommendation, and I passed the class. She still won't let me drink 4 years later!

About 36 years ago, I looked up from cooking breakfast and there she was ....

Actually, I'd gone skiing with a flatmate and she'd gone skiing with a workmate and we all were staying at the same ski lodge. I was on breakfast duty and had stuffed up the number of poached eggs I was supposed to cook. She (as is usual to this day) was late getting out of bed so was the last person to arrive down for breakfast. I had just started to eat the rermaining 8 poached eggs which were excess to requirements when she arrived - toast only with a cup of tea please. As the last two out of the ski lodge we skied together all day.

We'd been living together for a couple of years and saving to go on our OE (overseas experience for you non Kiwis). She'd been working shifts at the hospital so she had weeks of holidays she had to take. I'd changed jobs and had no holidays due. We wanted to go skiing, so I suggested that we get married as my new employer might give me time off for a honeymoon - they actually coughed up with paid leave Very Happy

Been married 33 1/2 years now, have a 15 year old son, and wouldn't have it any other way.
