Baiters sometimes get caught up in emails. When they do, they just post and say, "Hey! Please stop abusing [email protected]"

It gets sorted, and everything is good.

Ive had em play pranks but thats just friendship, there wasnt a bait involved, and everyone plays jokes on everyone at some stage, check out some april-1st posts Wink

Again as tsnerd and ima said, having a laugh with a friend is one thing but being a twit and baiting a baiter is plain dumb.

Maybe there is another way that we can look at this... Let's say that a team of intelligent scammers get together and decide to target specific known baiters...

Do you think that maybe some less experienced baiters could be fooled and lose control of the situation, circuming to every demand the scammer makes? Therefore in effect the baiter is being baited... It could waste our precious time, leaving the door open for real scammers to scam real victims...

What do you think the signs would be?

I know its a long shot, and the idea of a group of highly intelligent scammers actually thinking about this is remote... but stranger things have happend....

^^ It's very, very unlikely to happen but even if it did, we demand proof of everything such as tracking IP's to confirm safaris etc. So it would be virtually impossible for them to actually waste much of our time.
One of the reasons lads don't get baiting is that it makes us no money, therefore they aren't going to waste their time doing it when there's no cash involved.

A previous baiter who tried this, came back and pleaded with us to stop ruining his life. We did draw the line at getting him expelled from school. Just saying.

To burn or not to burn. Why the hell would you want to help train the scammer? Because if you burn that is essentially what you are doing.

As for baiting a baiter. When you do that you are called a fluffy kitty-cat (funny I typed b a d g er and look who it turned out).

You will eventually get found out and there are two cases that come to mind. One who tried it was tracked down and was expelled from his university for misuse of their computing facilities. Another did it to one particularly vicious former mod who wrecked this fellow's university computer account and got the guy up to his neck in shit.

If you do bait a baiter, you are posing as a scammer. Scamming is illegal and you leave yourself open to charges of fraud. You will get found out, and if you manage to find a psychopathic baiter you are screwed. There are a damn sight more psychopathic baiters that Badgers. Badgers are very scarce individuals, the former are not.
