As a fan of the game, I agree that it is sad to see him pass. Some of the biggest battles of the Cold War were fought on a chess board.

I have a chess book he wrote and it is pretty good. Interestingly in this book, he teaches how to play backwards. Starts from the final few moves and adds increasing complexity toward the opening moves. I have read he was boarding on insane, which was what made him such an innovative player. |
