So, my day job involves me to work on an international level of which I have spent a lot of time over the years mixing with French speaking people. Generally, I have not made great conversation due to the fact my ability to speak French is limited to being able to order a bottle of wine! But what fantastic wine it is, and therefore its not surprising that every time i'm with the French or Belgians that I end up getting a little tipsy!

Now, one of my resolutions for this year is to learn the language of love and as we are almost in the middle of month 1 I really need to get started...

So, are there any of you in the London area of the UK can recommend a good French Tutor or night school? Also, I would appreciate any good websites that might assist my learning... I have a budget of about �1500 to spend on this...

I'm looking forward to baiting my lads in French too!!! Laughing

Sorry notobescammed, but you are asking in the wrong place.

Nobody in the UK would recommend anything French other than a route out of France. Smile

It's ancient history.

I would teach you myself but I have a few hundred little Frenchies of my own at the moment. Have been correcting exams for the last month.

That's what I thought originally but after getting to know some of them a bit better - They are actually nice people Shocked

its why eurostar doesnt go so fast in the uk - the drivers want to spend as short a time as possible in france - the people are great but the country itself YUK.

I visited NE France in 2000 as part of an Australian War Memorial tour. The countryside was beautiful and the people everywhere were very friendly (the fact that I spoke some French - and many places, especially Villers-Bretonneux, encourage friendship with Australians, may have helped).
