Hi all,
Hadn't realised that I already was a scambaiter, but at work (in my real identity) I get 20 to 50 of these a week - and a few months ago I decided to string one along - a "poor girl" from West Africa who desparately needed my help (with the usual story of plane crashes, dead relatives etc) - I strung her along for a couple of weeks (not having seen 419eater.com so not knowing what was really going on) - I managed to get photos from her, but they stopped when I asked for a topless one (did I go too far?).
Anyway keen to join the fun

Good to have you here... You didn't go too far, people here have had far more exciting pictures than a random topless one - but you probably asked for it a little too early! These type of trophies can take weeks if not months to get...
Read the stickies, get a mentor and don't hesitate to ask for help...

Asking for topless photos is not going to far, as long as you set the bait right & ask at the right time. A couple weeks does seem pretty quick to ask for a topless photo. Mentioning $$ might get you what u want. Try reeling her in more b4 asking again. And always mention the $$. |

Welcome to the site. The person you were talking will have been a man, and the pictures you were sent will have been lifted from a website, scanned from a magazine or the like. So it�s not really a matter of going too far � unless he lifted the pictures from a porn site, the lad can�t send you what he doesn�t have. |

Forgive me if I ask - did you use your real work ID/email to bait "her"? If yes, bad idea.
Read the stickies, get yourself some untraceable email accounts for your characters, as said above read the stickies, sign up for a mentor and have some fun.

At the time I used a personal email adress, not my work one, but having read more on here, I now understand I should not have done that, however it soon went completely cold so I guess no harm done - I'll do a bit more reading as everyone has suggested then start having a play

Tomy,
Glad you've got the message about safe baiting - you are right to drop this lad now that you used your real email account. You can always bait him again from a fake email, making sure there's no connection to your original exchange with him - a lad doesn't care where the reply comes from as long as he thinks you have a pulse and some cash to send him.
The other possible downside is that by replying with your real email you may find that you have now signed yourself up for a free "send me all your spam" offer from this lad or his colleagues. If not, count yourself lucky. If yes, at least you have a ready source of lads!
