Another Year, Another Show and yet Another set of Scammers to have a little bit of phone baiting fun with! Of course, before exposing them for the world to hear on air!!!

Have you considered using the Fonejacker soundboard notobescammed ? I did and it's hard not to wet yourself when you use it.

Ooooh I have a very likely candidate.

Judging by his opening mail he is 'special reserve' material. I've shared his number with 419weasel, as she was kind enough to share Michael George with me, and I'll try him out tomorrow.

All I can say is that he is a very high ranking officer in a West African airforce, in charge of military intelligence Very Happy

, with a flair for megalomania and the highly dramatic. If his vocals are up to the drivel in his e-mail I'll give you his number to play with.

Another idea I had ntbs was if you act as a fake 'Judge Judy' figure when a Lad feels he has been short changed or not received his rightful reward from a baiter.

Of course you would be the impartial (not) arbiter, but you would act as if you are likely to decide in his favour and listen carefully and sympathetically to his case, and the baiter would make his/her case, and gradually you would make it become more and more apparent that the scammer was losing - making him get wilder and wilder until he explodes.

You get him to describe his fantasy deal, and back him up saying - "Yes that sounds fair and reasonable" and the baiter can respond badly making it look as if the scammer is going to get an easy win. You massage the scammer along allowing him to make a fool of himself, and you can either switch your sympathy to the baiter's bad case or start to pull the scammer apart yourself.

The funniest option, I think, would be to appear to favour the baiter even though the baiters case stinks - then hear the scammer get more and more frustrated.

With a bit of careful handling you could show the scammer for what he is - a crook with no brain who really believes he is entitled to scam people, but make it hilarious too.

Okie dokie I'm all signed up at your place ntbs and if I can find any Lads with a natural desire to make plonkers of themselves I'll record them and let you have a go at them.

Some are a waste of time and others just don't know when to stop digging Laughing

and once I've had my wicked way with them they might as well go on to bigger and better things and get the audience their greed and stupidity deserves.

Having advised me that they caught the criminals who tried to steal my cases full of cash the Air Marshal wants to talk money - Dm|tr| will want to talk revenge.

I had my sound settings all messed up so it's only now I'm able to listen to the recording of the show properly.

Now that's ironic - setting myself up to do soundboard phone calls and then being too stupid to be able to listen to the show - some baiters are stupid too - mended now Rolling Eyes

(directed at myself).

Many thanks for the compliments NTBS and I'll try to make any calls shorter and punchier - and I'll see if there's anything interesting in the archives.

Yes spot - the second one is the one I use.

Some of the clips are a little quiet, so I am doing some work to make all the clips of a similar volume, and I have downloaded other calls made by Fonejacker, as that character, so that I can build a soundboard with more clips and all of similar volume.

I have a Realtek soundcard (as if I know what that means Very Happy

) but I can adjust the pitch of my voice using it and use it for live calls. So maybe I can bring Ludmi||a K0s0kalov out of the closet. I may do a test run today.

Doing e-mails using her character I could take amazing liberties. It seemed that being female, dumb (I'm not suggesting the two go together - just my character) and with a bad grasp of English, I could take amazing liberties, and they didn't have a clue.

I have just done the opposite and made my voice very deep to make a call to a Lad as Mr G0mer the Oga. The call isn't very exciting but does demonstrate that it's possible to pull it off without doing Ladspeak.

It also means that the Lads I have been trying to get to join my gang can receive the calls they want.

haywood_jablowmi has done a marvellous Fonejacker phone call with a Lad. It's a long one - about 25 mins, but it's great to hear the Lads mounting frustration and anger and then he appears to lose all willpower and strength, and even appears to repeat "Aktktwango" that Fonejacker says is where he is calling from.
